This dedication to quality and care shapes the company culture, fostering teamwork, respect, and growth among its employees. Sodexo operates in a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, education, corporate offices, and remote sites, offering integrated solutions that meet a variety of needs. The company’s commitment to sustainability and community impact also highlights its role as a responsible corporate citizen, continually striving to improve lives through its services.
The Cook II position at Sodexo, located at UC Health Broomfield Hospital, is a full-time role with an hourly pay range of $21.00 to $23.52. This role involves preparing and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for hospital patients and staff, contributing directly to their well-being. The work schedule primarily covers afternoon and evening shifts on varying days, which offers a dynamic and engaging work environment. As a Cook II, you are expected to be more than just a food preparer; you are a key member of a team that values collaboration and efficient food preparation practices. Your role supports not only the nutritional needs of the hospital community but also Sodexo’s mission of reducing food waste and enhancing customer satisfaction. The hands-on nature of this role means you will work closely with management and other kitchen staff, sharing responsibility for food safety, quality control, and the smooth operation of kitchen services.
This position is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and who thrive in fast-paced environments where excellent customer service and teamwork are highly valued. The Cook II will be tasked with preparing various hot and cold dishes for multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. The role demands adherence to recipes and food preparation guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality. Additionally, you may be asked to manage grill stations or a la carte service during meal service, which requires adaptability and the ability to multitask effectively. Sodexo emphasizes a supportive work environment that encourages professional development, offering ongoing training and potential career growth opportunities within the company. Employees can also expect a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, health benefits, tuition reimbursement, and more, fostering a healthy work-life balance.
Working at Sodexo means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive community that respects individual differences and promotes equal opportunity employment.
