As a Cook II at Nueva Vista Morgan Hill, you will hold a crucial position in directly contributing to the health and satisfaction of the residents through your culinary skills. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a cooking or food preparation role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work Friday through Tuesday from 11am to 7:30pm
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution
  • Experience with special dietary needs and menu planning
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain food safety standards
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following health and safety regulations
  • Assist in menu planning and inventory management, including ordering and receiving food supplies
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and address any dietary concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including proper storage of food items
