The Cook II will be expected to prepare ingredients by chopping, portioning, and properly storing food items, ensuring all materials are ready for cooking. Additionally, operating various kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers is an essential part of this role. Monitoring the quality of food during preparation and cooking ensures each dish meets the hotel's quality and presentation standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests.\n\nThis position requires a thorough knowledge of food safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment and maintaining correct food temperatures. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks related to cooking
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food service setting preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen sanitation
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously
  • Familiarity with the operation of kitchen appliances including ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food properly
