The property boasts more than 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, making it an ideal destination for both leisure and business travelers. With eight food and beverage outlets including four distinguished restaurants, a beach club, a lounge, a marketplace, and in-room dining options, the resort delivers a comprehensive and refined culinary experience. Dana Point is renowned for its iconic contribution to California's surf culture and is celebrated today for its laid-back atmosphere and active lifestyle, providing a picturesque and vibrant backdrop for the resort.

Waldorf Astoria is dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences for its guests, meaningful career opportunities for its team members, and a positive impact within the community. The resort is currently seeking a Cook I to join its esteemed Culinary Team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to be part of an award-winning environment where exceptional hospitality is the cornerstone of every interaction.

In this dynamic role, you will prepare menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, efficiently managing guest orders to ensure a memorable dining experience. You will work with complex recipes, oversee food stations, and conduct quality control and inventory checks. Your responsibilities also include inspecting and finalizing plates to ensure presentation and quality align with the Waldorf Astoria standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization of your workspace, and adhering to strict safety and sanitation protocols.

The role extends to coordinating timing and plating, leading cooks during shifts, assisting with inventory management, and participating in shift briefings and special culinary features. Compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations is paramount, ensuring the wellbeing of guests and team members alike.

Joining Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club means becoming part of Hilton's global hospitality family, where core values such as integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and urgency are deeply embedded in the workplace culture. Hilton supports its team members through extensive benefits including travel perks, financial investment opportunities, parental leave, caregiving support, mental health resources, and generous paid time off.

This position invites passionate individuals who are eager to spread the warmth of hospitality and contribute to making each guest's stay truly exceptional.
