Job Requirements

Four years of kitchen experience or equivalent formal education
Certified Food Handlers card registered with Maricopa County
Ability to work long hours standing and in extreme heat
Ability to work safely on slippery surfaces
Ability to handle pressure and maintain quality
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to maintaining employee hygiene and dress standards

Job Qualifications

Four years of kitchen experience or equivalent formal education
Certified Food Handlers card registered with Maricopa County
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage, motivate, and work well with others
Ability to maintain professionalism and good working relationships
Knowledge of occupational safety and health practices including use of personal protective equipment

Job Duties

Organize and maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas to meet par stocks and prep levels
Ensure proper receipt, handling, and storage of food preparation supplies
Maintain compliance with Maricopa County Health Department regulations on assigned stations at all times
Supervise food preparation department during absence of Sous Chefs and Chefs
Respond flexibly to assist wherever needed to ensure timely and quality service
Ensure proper staffing of all stations
Work safely on slippery surfaces and perform effectively under pressure
Maintain consistency of food quality, taste, and presentation
Assist in administrative tasks including scheduling and control of food and labor costs
Promote high employee morale and reliability through motivation and training
Enforce high standards of dress and personal hygiene among employees
Oversee proper maintenance and care of equipment
Maintain a positive attitude and support resort guidelines and procedures
Participate actively in preparation and service in the employee cafeteria
Perform additional duties assigned by Chef or Sous Chef
