Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year culinary experience in a high volume restaurant kitchen
  • Ability to comprehend and follow supervisor's instructions
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to handle interruptions and work under pressure
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and task completion skills
  • Coordination, analyzing, precision working, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making skills
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year culinary experience in a high volume restaurant kitchen

Job Duties

  • Safely prepare all food prep and food items in accordance with standard hotel recipes and specifications
  • Read, comprehend, and follow the daily forecasts, menus and recipes to produce and delegate the production of all food items for the work area
  • Complete food order requisitions using a computer or manually to procure necessary production items
  • Interact with hotel guests to provide for special requests
  • Participate in activities with cooks and other team members preparing, cooking and presenting food according to productivity standards, cost controls and special needs
  • Audit food storeroom items for quality, consistency and rotation
  • Work to control food cost and revenues while following daily sanitation, hand washing and safety codes
  • Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
