The Cook I position at Mathis Management is a foundational role within the kitchen team, critical to maintaining the high standards of food preparation and service. This role is ideal for individuals who have a basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills and are eager to grow within a structured culinary environment. The Cook I is responsible for setting up food stations according to restaurant guidelines, preparing food items in a sanitary and timely manner, and adhering strictly to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Chef. This role also involves restocking items throughout the shift and maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation to uphold the kitchen’s health and safety standards.
