Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalency
- relevant experience in quantity food production
- ability to read and understand English
- valid California driver's license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on business
- physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, squat, and reach
- ability to lift and move items up to twenty-five pounds
- manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- able to withstand heat when working near stoves and ovens
- minimum two years of sobriety for recovering individuals
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalency
- 1-2 years experience in quantity food production for Cook I
- over two years experience in quantity food production for Cook III
- ability to read and understand English
- ability to follow directions and recipes
- bilingual abilities may be required in some programs
Job Duties
- prepare soups, pastries, and various food entrees for clients, employees, and visitors
- follow recipes and directions accurately
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- lift and carry items weighing up to twenty-five pounds
- use kitchen tools and equipment such as mixers, knives, and ovens
- stand and move throughout the kitchen during work shifts
