Job Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary training or degree preferred
  • must obtain and maintain valid drivers and all licenses per federal, state, and gaming regulations
  • must pass background check
  • must pass drug screening
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • basic knowledge of food preparation
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • effective communication skills
  • proficiency with kitchen equipment use

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary apprenticeship or associate’s degree preferred
  • basic food preparation knowledge
  • experience in line work
  • ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests
  • ability to use kitchen equipment including choppers, slicers, mixers, and grinders
  • flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules

Job Duties

  • Prepares foods that are grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, poached, or prepared in the pantry
  • ensures all plates or pans served are aesthetically appealing and cooked to specifications
  • maintains a clean and organized workstation
  • assists co-workers to ensure efficient kitchen operation
  • recognizes and properly places sauces on entrees
  • ensures proper storage of foods
  • supports special events by performing various culinary duties
  • attends meetings and completes follow-ups
  • reports equipment safety failures and hazards
  • assists in closing down workstations
