Job Description
Hermitage Deep Run is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and enriching the lives of its residents. With a deep commitment to fostering an environment where age does not define the individual, Hermitage Deep Run offers a range of supportive living options including independent living, assisted living, memory support, and nursing care. The community operates with a mission of Enriching Life’s Journey, focusing on autonomy, self-direction, and person-centered services that prioritize the dignity and quality of life of every resident. Their core values—Culture, Stewardship, Partnership, Diversity, Hospitality, and Quality—are ingrained in every aspect of their operation, creating a warm and respectful atmosphere for residents and staff alike.
At Hermitage Deep Run, team members are encouraged to deliver compassionate, high-quality care within a collaborative and supportive work environment. The company embraces diversity and offers professional development opportunities, recognizing the value of a skilled and motivated workforce. Employees are also expected to comply with Pinnacle Living’s vaccination policies, which require being or becoming fully vaccinated against the annual flu, with accommodations made for certain medical or religious reasons.
The Deep Run Cook position is a full-time role with scheduled working hours from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. This role is essential in the preparation of food for the community's various dining options, including independent and assisted living areas, healthcare services, team member dining, and special events. The cook will follow established recipes and production guidelines to prepare a diverse range of entrees, soups, starches, vegetables, and salads. The position requires attention to detail in food preparation and batch cooking, adherence to sanitation protocols, and support in utility tasks as needed.
This role is ideal for individuals with some experience or a keen interest in food production who are looking to build a career in culinary services within a caring community setting. The Deep Run Cook reports to the culinary leadership team and collaborates closely with other kitchen staff to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and satisfaction. The position offers a competitive schedule and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where culinary skills contribute directly to the well-being and happiness of residents.
