Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must possess knowledge of basic kitchen operations
- Ability to understand oral and/or written instructions
- Ability to read and quantify recipes and menus
- Must be able to interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, management, and team members
- Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract
- Must pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background checks
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations
- Ability to read, understand, and quantify recipes and menus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Experience working in food preparation or cooking environments preferred but not required
- Eligibility to meet requirements for specific contract assignments
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and portion a variety of food items accurately for multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Cook and present food items efficiently to meet quality and safety standards
- Follow oral and written instructions related to food preparation and kitchen operations
- Interact appropriately and professionally with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, management, and team members
- Comply with safety and hygiene regulations including handling cleaning chemicals safely
- Adapt to different account-specific responsibilities and business requirements as assigned
- Assist with special event food preparation and service as needed
