The Cook position at the Marquette Hotel offers an exciting opportunity to become a culinary expert responsible for preparing and supervising food across multiple outlets including the restaurant, café, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets. This role demands a culinary superstar who thrives under pressure, brings creativity to the plate, and is passionate about delivering unforgettable dining experiences to guests. As a Cook, you will be the linchpin of the kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish not only meets high standards of quality but also delights guests with its impeccable presentation and taste. In this role, you will be the Culinary Craftsman who prepares and supervises the food items with precision and attention to detail. You will also serve as the Kitchen Captain, guiding and assisting the kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistent delivery of high-quality food and service. As a Solution Strategist, you will anticipate challenges and resolve issues proactively to ensure seamless kitchen operations. Effective communication skills are essential as you will be responsible for addressing concerns from coworkers and guests with professionalism and clarity. Keeping the kitchen spotless and organized to meet sanitation and safety standards is another critical component, reflecting your role as the Organization Operator. Additionally, being a Proactive Performer who anticipates needs and manages time wisely ensures prompt food preparation and consistent service excellence.
This position requires at least one year of professional experience or a culinary graduate with relevant hotel or industry experience, along with a Food Handlers Certification compliant with state regulations.
