The role offered is for a skilled Cook who will be integral in preparing special meals and ensuring food quality in alignment with The Ritz-Carlton’s high standards. The Cook’s responsibilities include managing food preparation activities such as regulating oven temperatures, thawing frozen items properly, and ensuring the correct portioning and presentation of dishes. Accurate food logs and inventory communications are crucial tasks, as well as assisting in the coordination and communication with the Food & Beverage service team about menu specials and availability, especially during busy periods. This role requires proficiency in preparing both hot and cold menu items, following recipes, and maintaining presentation and quality according to company checklists.

Beyond food preparation, this position supports management in various human resources functions including hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating the culinary team when needed. The Cook acts as a role model by upholding uniform and personal appearance standards and maintaining a safe and professional kitchen environment. The role also demands physical stamina as it involves standing, walking, reaching, bending, and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The Ritz-Carlton values teamwork and excellent communication skills, encouraging the individual in this position to foster positive working relationships and respond appropriately to both guest and colleague needs. Commitment to safety training, adherence to security policies, and the protection of proprietary company information are essential facets of this position.

The employment type typically aligns with full-time roles at luxury hospitality establishments, and while specific salary details are not disclosed here, compensation at The Ritz-Carlton is competitive and reflects the high level of expertise and professionalism expected.
