Sodexo is dedicated to social, economic, and environmental progress, reflecting its purpose to create a better everyday for everyone by enhancing the overall experience for all stakeholders.
This position is located at American Financial UPA in Cincinnati, offering full-time employment with weekday morning shifts. The pay range for the Cook I role is competitive, between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking stable employment in a fast-paced culinary environment.
As a Cook I at Sodexo, you will play an essential role in maintaining the company’s high culinary standards. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods and special events. With opportunities to contribute significantly to an exceptional dining experience, you will collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. You must be comfortable following recipes, preparing diverse menu items, and adapting to client-specific needs as required.
This role demands physical endurance, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. These duties emphasize the active and hands-on nature of the Cook I position.
Sodexo values its employees and offers an environment that supports professional growth through ongoing training, development opportunities, and the potential for career advancement. The company's comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as tuition reimbursement and 401k plans. Some locations may also provide site-specific advantages such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, transportation support, and parking.
