The Rescue Mission is deeply committed to its mission and values, which are reflected in daily operations and the working culture within the organization. It is not just a workplace but a community of compassionate professionals and volunteers striving to make a positive impact.

The role emphasizes confidentiality and cooperation, demanding a professional and calm demeanor. Responsibilities also include managing food orders, food supply storage with proper labeling, and abiding by safety protocols including universal precautions and fire safety plans. The schedule is Fridays through Mondays from 5:30am to 4:00pm, with a rate of pay at $17.00 per hour plus a $1.00 Weekend Warrior Shift Differential.

Joining the Rescue Mission means becoming part of a team that is passionate about making a real difference every day. Employees benefit from a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, life insurance options, and short-term disability. The organization also strongly encourages compliance with CDC Covid-19 guidelines and vaccination policies to ensure safety and well-being for all staff and clients. Overall, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to apply culinary expertise in a meaningful, mission-driven environment while supporting the needs of vulnerable populations in the Syracuse community.
