Job Duties

  • Prepare specialty meals or replace products
  • regulate oven, grill, and broiler temperatures
  • thaw frozen foods in refrigerators
  • ensure proper portioning, plating, and garnishing of dishes
  • maintain food records
  • monitor food quality and quantity
  • communicate additional help needed during busy periods
  • inform chef about surplus food for daily specials
  • notify food and beverage staff about rejected products and specials
  • ensure food product quality
  • prepare and cook food per recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food prep checklists
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
  • serve as an example
  • comply with safety and company policies
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • complete safety trainings and certifications
  • maintain uniform and professional appearance
  • protect company confidential information and assets
  • anticipate and address guest service needs
