- One year of cooking experience in an institutional or large-scale commercial setting
- Vocational training in food service substitutes for experience
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in a kitchen environment

Job Duties
- Prepare meats, vegetables, breads, and desserts for meals
- Prepare breakfast meals as needed
- Read and plan menus for advance preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, stoves, utensils, and equipment
- Clean cafeteria lines, salad bar, pots, pans, refrigerators
- Dust mop floors after every meal
- Help serve meals to students and staff
