The role of a part-time Cook at Homefield Pub and Social in Green Bay, Wisconsin, presents an exciting opportunity for those passionate about food preparation and culinary arts. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • able to lift 50 lbs or more
  • able to reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
  • capable of standing and walking for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels
  • manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school education preferred
  • participation or enrollment in culinary program preferred
  • minimum of 6 months-1 year previous experience in back-of-the-house foodservice position preferred
  • familiarity and experience with knife handling preferred
  • ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations
  • ability to communicate with others
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic math skills
  • ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
  • keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
  • use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
  • perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory
