The Minnetonka High School Nutrition Services department is currently seeking four dedicated Cook Helper (Class I) positions for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Minnetonka High School, located in Minnetonka, Minnesota, is a part of the Minnetonka Public Schools district, known for its commitment to providing quality education and a supportive environment for both students and staff. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to follow oral and written directions
  • basic math skills
  • willingness to work 4 to 6 hours per day on school days
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • satisfactory completion of preplacement physical examination

  • ServSafe certification desirable

Job Duties

  • follows Cook Manager or Cook's instruction in heating, cooking, and pre-dishing food, as well as setting up serving areas
  • follows instructions in portioning, garnishing and serving of food items
  • follows instructions and procedures in clean-up of kitchen and serving areas
  • follows standards of safety and sanitation in handling, storing and serving of food items
  • accurately performs record keeping functions as requested by Cook Manager
  • assists in preparing food items
  • performs point-of-sale and cashiering duties as part of kitchen rotation
  • performs other duties of a similar nature or level
