The Cook Helper role at Gate Gourmet is integral to the efficient preparation and delivery of airline meals. The position involves working with various kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, steam kettles, charbroilers, flat top stoves, and gas ranges, always following safety protocols. This high-volume catering environment requires keen time management skills, an ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth operational flow. The Cook Helper must also be vigilant in minimizing food waste through efficient use of raw materials and consistently upholding the standards for food quality and presentation.

Employees benefit from comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, pension plans, staff meal subsidies, wellness programs, and convenient onsite parking. Gate Gourmet supports professional growth through monetized training programs and encourages a relaxed clothing policy, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment. The company is dedicated not only to quality catering but also to creating a workplace culture where employees are valued, supported, and given opportunities for advancement.
