The Cook, Grill (Full Time) position at the Halal Shack at George Washington University offers a dynamic role where you are responsible for preparing food items at the grill station according to federal, state, and corporate standards. You will be tasked with preparing customer orders including items that require short preparation times, serving customers in a friendly, efficient manner, and maintaining food quality with proper temperature, presentation, and taste. The position demands attention to detail in adhering to recipes and portion control to ensure consistency and satisfaction. Duties also include maintaining adequate food safety practices such as proper storage, wrapping, and labeling, as well as sanitizing all work areas and equipment. Job Requirements
- Prior culinary and grill experience

Job Duties
- Take orders from customers and prepare grill items requiring short preparation
- Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
- Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner following established service steps
- Ensure food is at correct temperature and presentation standards
- Taste all prepared food items for quality
- Use established ticket-collection procedures during service
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards
