Job Requirements
- GED or HiSET
- 1-2 years of professional cooking experience
- ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work alternating weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work 2nd shift including 11am to 7:30pm
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years minimum professional cooking experience preferably in healthcare or hospitality
- Knowledge of advanced cooking methods
- Strong math skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English fluently
- Certified ServSafe food handler
- Knowledge of HACCP, JCAHO, and DPH food safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Experience with cook-chill equipment
Job Duties
- Perform safe and sanitary food handling techniques including glove use, cutting boards, and preventing cross-contamination
- Ensure production supply levels meet daily menu and production needs
- Operate and maintain cook-chill equipment safely and hygienically
- Maintain temperature, quality control, and quality assurance logs per regulatory standards
- Clean and sanitize all food production equipment and utensils
- Work effectively under pressure maintaining quality and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to assist in production and line cooking as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision to perform production, prep, or line cooking tasks
- Prepare hot and cold food items within required timeframes following supervisor instructions
- Support day-to-day operations and perform assigned opening and closing duties
