This nurturing approach highlights the organization’s commitment to promoting mental health and well-being through compassionate care and professional expertise.

Dunwoody Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Cooks to join their team. This full-time position offers flexible schedules that include weekend shifts, with morning shifts running from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm and afternoon/evening shifts from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Maintaining compliance as a Certified Food Handler is also mandatory. The Cook must ensure all menus are approved and signed by the location dietician, follow proper nutrition requirements and portion sizes, and ensure food storage and preparation standards meet strict temperature and sanitation criteria. Daily cleaning of the kitchen and appliances is essential for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.

The ideal candidate will have practical culinary experience, knowledge of nutrition and diet therapy, and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment functionality. They must be proficient in batch scratch food preparation and mindful of food waste control. The Cook is expected to uphold ethical boundaries and professional conduct while interacting with clients, prioritizing their safety, dietary restrictions, and meal modifications. This role demands keen attention to detail, responsibility for inventory management, and the ability to report maintenance or equipment issues promptly. Wearing slip-resistant and closed-toe shoes is a basic safety requirement.

Joining Dunwoody Behavioral Healthcare means becoming part of a compassionate team committed to making a positive impact on clients' lives through dedicated care and excellent culinary services. This position not only offers the opportunity to further hone your culinary skills but also to contribute meaningfully to the community’s health and wellness efforts.
