The Cook position at Auberge plays a vital role in maintaining the dietary health and satisfaction of residents by preparing appetizing and nutritious meals. This role supports the Culinary Services Coordinator to ensure smooth operation of food service functions. The Cook is responsible not only for food preparation but also for upholding a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the kitchen and dining areas. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous food preparation experience required
- knowledge and experience with elderly and dementia patients preferred
- food service sanitation certificate according to state or local requirements
- ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- basic reading and writing skills
- ability to speak English clearly
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food preparation
- knowledge and experience working with elderly residents preferred
- previous experience with dementia patients is an asset
- food service sanitation certification as per state or local requirements
