Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of experience as a cook or equivalent in lieu of education
  • food handling certification as required by state regulations
  • ability to maintain high sanitation and safety standards
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • ability to follow dietary guidelines and therapeutic diet instructions

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary arts training preferred
  • two years of food service experience preferred
  • minimum one year experience cooking and working in an institutional setting

Job Duties

  • perform a variety of duties necessary for the operation of a hospital food service department
  • maintain high standards of food quality, nutritional value of food, sanitation, safety and present food in an appetizing manner

  • adhere to state regulations including food handling certifications
