The role of Cook at OakBend Medical Center is a critical position responsible for preparing food items that meet the nutritional needs of patients, cafeteria patrons, and hospital functions. Under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Cook ensures that high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation are maintained throughout the preparation process. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • relevant experience in lieu of high school diploma/GED considered
  • one-year hospital food service experience preferred
  • ability to read and write English
  • ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • good communication skills
  • no required licenses or certifications
