Job Description

Our community is built on respect, dignity, and the well-being of those we serve, with a clear focus on individuals with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment where every resident feels valued and comfortable. Operating as a niche memory care provider, Arden Courts offers a unique blend of professional caregiving and a homelike atmosphere, ensuring residents receive personalized attention tailored to their specific needs and preferences.

As a Cook at Arden Courts, you will play a vital role in executing our mission by preparing appetizing and nutritious meals for our residents, contributing significantly to their overall health and satisfaction. This position is not just about cooking but also about creating a positive dining experience that supports the emotional and physical well-being of our residents. You will work alongside the Culinary Services Coordinator to help manage essential food service functions, guaranteeing that dietary needs and safety standards are consistently met. The role demands professionalism, tact, sensitivity, and a genuine commitment to service excellence, especially when working with elderly individuals and those experiencing dementia.

The Cook position is a full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation reflective of experience and qualifications. In addition to a dynamic work environment, Arden Courts provides an exceptional benefits package designed to support employees both personally and professionally. This includes daily access to earned wages through ZayZoon, company-provided uniforms, exclusive employee discounts, and regular appreciation events, nurturing a culture of recognition and teamwork. Our medical, dental, and vision coverage ensures comprehensive health and wellness support, accompanied by a 401(k) plan and company-paid life insurance for long-term financial security. We also respect work-life balance by offering paid time off, birthday holidays, premium pay for holiday shifts, and employee assistance programs to support mental health and well-being.

In this position, you must be physically capable of performing duties that require standing, walking, bending, and squatting for extended periods, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, promoting not only nutritional health but also an ambiance of care and respect through professionally prepared meals and courteous service. The Cook is a vital member of the team whose work directly impacts the satisfaction and care experience of our residents. We value candidates who bring previous food preparation experience and possess knowledge and empathy towards elderly individuals, especially those with dementia, to excel in this rewarding role.
