The Cook position at Arden Courts plays a vital role in ensuring that residents receive appetizing and nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences. Working closely with the Culinary Services Coordinator, the Cook contributes to the smooth operation of food service functions, emphasizing food safety, hygiene, and quality. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, a commitment to cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate possesses basic reading and writing abilities, communicates effectively in English, and has previous experience in food preparation. Experience working with elderly populations, particularly those with dementia, is preferred and valued.
In this role, the cook is not only responsible for meal preparation but also plays a significant part in creating a comfortable and safe dining experience for the residents. This position requires tact and sensitivity to accommodate the unique needs of the senior community while maintaining industry-best practices. Physical stamina is essential as the job involves standing, walking, bending, squatting for extended periods, and the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with ease.

Job Requirements
