Job Description

Our establishment is a dedicated senior living community committed to providing top-quality care and comfort to our residents. As a recognized leader in elderly care, Arden Courts focuses on fostering a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where seniors, including those with dementia, can thrive with dignity and respect. This environment supports not only the physical health of residents but also their emotional and social well-being, reflecting our holistic approach to elder care. We understand that nutrition plays a crucial role in the overall health of our residents, which makes the culinary services department a vital part of our care team.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our culinary services team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing appetizing, nutritious meals tailored to the unique dietary requirements of our elderly residents, many of whom may have specialized needs relating to their health conditions, including dementia. Your work will directly contribute to the residents' quality of life by ensuring they receive meals that are both enjoyable and nourishing. This position requires adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen and dining environment.

The successful candidate will assist the Culinary Services Coordinator in managing day-to-day food service functions. This includes food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with state and local food service regulations. A key aspect of this role is delivering service with professionalism, tact, and sensitivity, recognizing the importance of respect and care in an elder care setting. You will be engaging with residents, catering to their preferences, and contributing to a positive dining experience that helps enhance their overall stay.

This full-time position offers a competitive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees. Some of the amazing benefits include daily access to pay through ZayZoon, uniforms provided by the company, employee discounts, and special appreciation events that recognize and celebrate our team members. We also offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k retirement plan, paid time off including a birthday holiday, and premium pay for holidays worked. Our commitment to a drug-free and equal opportunity workplace ensures a respectful and supportive environment for all staff.

If you are passionate about food preparation, enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, and are eager to contribute to the lives of seniors through excellent culinary care, this role at Arden Courts offers a fulfilling career path. We prioritize candidates who bring prior experience in food preparation and a genuine interest in working with elderly populations, especially those with dementia-related needs. With our supportive management and comprehensive benefits, you will be empowered to excel and grow your skills within a respected and caring organization.
