The current opportunity is for full-time and part-time Cook positions based at the Alabama School of Cyber Tech & Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is essential in ensuring that students and faculty receive high-quality, scratch-cooked meals adhering to federal, state, and corporate standards. The Cook will prepare food items from standardized recipes, maintain proper portioning, and ensure food safety protocols such as HACCP standards are met consistently. This position requires previous scratch cooking experience, reflecting the need for culinary skills and attention to detail.
Working hours vary with availability for evenings and weekends required, providing flexibility for candidates interested in either full-time or part-time schedules. The hourly pay range is between $16.00 and $17.00, with additional benefits including free meals, uniforms, and uniform laundering services at select locations. Job Requirements
- Previous scratch cooking experience required
- Availability to work full-time or part-time with varied schedules including evenings and weekends
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and safety procedures including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Must work in Alabama at the specified location
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Tastes all prepared food items
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Responsible for records from area worked during service periods
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
