The Ranch in Burbank, California, is currently seeking full-time and part-time cooks to join their culinary team. This role requires individuals who are passionate about food preparation and maintaining high culinary standards. As a cook at The Ranch, your primary responsibility will be preparing food according to established recipes and food safety standards. You’ll work in a dynamic kitchen environment where precision, quality, and timing are critical. Your role includes portioning meals correctly, tasting food to ensure quality, and presenting dishes that are both visually appealing and delicious. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen is essential, including proper storage of food items and sanitation of equipment. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards
  • Taste all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and customers
  • Perform job safely and maintain a clean work environment
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance according to HACCP standards
  • Follow company safety policies including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
