Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience required
- Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
- Availability to work flexible full-time or part-time schedules
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Compliance with company safety policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness to undergo background screening if required

Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Taste all prepared food items
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen after preparation and serving
- Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Report maintenance issues, equipment faults or accidents promptly
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures adhering to HACCP standards
- Follow safety procedures including use of cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Commit personally to safety and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
