Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in batch cooking and line cooking
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays, days and evenings
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to cooking and kitchen maintenance
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols including use of gloves, oven mitts and slip-resistant shoes
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in batch cooking and line cooking
  • Ability to prepare food according to federal, state, and corporate standards
  • Knowledge of safe food-handling procedures
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene
  • Ability to follow established recipes and portion control guidelines

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and maintaining food temperature and appeal
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
