The current opportunity is for Cook positions located at Helio Health, 1850 Brighton Henrietta Townline Road, Rochester, NY 14616. These roles are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, offering flexible schedules that include weekdays, weekends, holidays, days, and evenings. The Pay Rate ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. Candidates with experience in batch cooking and line cooking are encouraged to apply as these skills are essential for success in this role.

As a Cook at Eurest, you will play a critical role in preparing food items that adhere to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring that each dish meets rigorous quality and safety requirements. Your responsibilities will extend from following standardized recipes and instructions for food preparation to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be expected to taste food items to guarantee quality, use proper portion control, and maintain the correct serving temperatures.

The role also involves operational responsibilities such as assisting in production planning, record keeping, and inventory control, including ordering and receiving supplies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in batch cooking and line cooking
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays, days and evenings
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to cooking and kitchen maintenance
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols including use of gloves, oven mitts and slip-resistant shoes

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and maintaining food temperature and appeal
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
