Job Description
Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital, located in Wildomar, California, is a distinguished licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It stands as Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and serves as a county-designated Paramedic Base Station, highlighting its critical role in emergency medical services within the region. The hospital manages an extensive volume of medical procedures and patient visits, including more than 4,000 surgeries annually and an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits each month. These demanding operations underscore the hospital's commitment to providing high-quality medical care to the local community and surrounding areas. Inland Valley Hospital is also notable for its specialized services, featuring a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region's only Total Joint Center, both designed to address specific patient needs with expert care and advanced treatment options.
Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital, situated in Murrieta, California, complements this network as a 120-bed acute-care hospital distinguished by having the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team dedicated to children aged 14 and under. These services are staffed by board-certified Rady Children's emergency medicine physicians, ensuring specialized pediatric care around the clock. Rancho Springs Hospital is also recognized for its exclusive OB/Emergency Department program, providing expectant mothers with continuous on-site OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs is the largest in the area, featuring spacious, family-friendly private suites to support a comforting birthing experience. Additionally, the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children's, ensuring expert neonatal care for the most vulnerable patients.
Employees hired for this position should note that operational needs may require floating to either the Rancho Springs Hospital or Inland Valley Hospital, for which appropriate orientation and competency validation will be provided. This flexibility aims to ensure seamless patient care across the Southwest Healthcare network and optimize resource sharing to meet dynamic healthcare demands.
This role is part of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), one of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, with a strong reputation for performance and achievement. Headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, UHS employs approximately 99,000 professionals and continues to expand its footprint through various subsidiaries.
The position offers a starting salary ranging from $21.00 to $30.38 per hour, reflecting competitive compensation for the skills and experience required.
