We are currently hiring a Cook for The Blake at Lafayette, one of our vibrant senior living communities. This role is integral to our mission, as food quality and service are central to the residents’ daily experience and overall satisfaction. The Cook will be responsible for prepping, planning, and cooking meals in accordance with established menus while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene. This individual will work closely with the culinary team to ensure the kitchen environment promotes teamwork, safety, and cleanliness. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is important due to the nature of senior living hospitality.
This position requires someone who has a caring heart and a sincere desire to serve older adults. Experience with therapeutic and modified diets is preferred, as nutritional needs often vary in a senior living environment. Strong culinary skills, including good knife techniques and familiarity with multiple cooking methods, are essential. We look for creativity and self-motivation in a candidate to contribute fresh ideas to our culinary offerings. The Cook at The Blake at Lafayette plays a critical role in ensuring that every meal served contributes to the residents’ wellness, enjoyment, and sense of community.
