This particular opportunity is for a full-time Cook position located at LCMC University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role offers a competitive wage ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour and follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with some weekends required. The Cook position is integral to the day-to-day operations within the hospital's food service department. Responsibilities include preparing high-quality meals that adhere to company and regulatory standards, ensuring all food served meets safety, temperature, and quality guidelines. The role demands a strong attention to detail, particularly in portion control, food presentation, and sanitation practices. Cooks are expected to operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly, participate in production planning, and assist with ordering and inventory management. A key part of the position also involves maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the kitchen to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly HACCP standards.

- Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
