The position we are hiring for is that of a Line Cook Supervisor within our professional kitchen staff. As a key player on the culinary team, the individual will be responsible for preparing all menu items in accordance with established recipes and yield guides, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served. The role encompasses leading and mentoring a team of Line Cooks, overseeing their daily performance, and maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of all work areas and equipment to comply with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will also manage production schedules by preparing and assigning prep work, while effectively communicating any modifications or new priorities during shifts to guarantee smooth kitchen operations. This role requires setting up workstations with all necessary mise en place, tools, equipment, and supplies before shifts begin, as well as efficiently breaking down stations and completing closing duties after the final service of the day. Additionally, the Line Cook Supervisor will coordinate with the Sous Chef to requisition supplies essential for fulfilling daily culinary tasks, thereby supporting seamless inventory management. This full-time position is ideal for culinary professionals with at least five years of experience working as Line Cooks in hotel, resort, or restaurant settings who are passionate about food preparation, leadership, and delivering excellent guest experiences. High work ethic, self-initiative, and flexibility in working varying schedules—including nights, weekends, and holidays—are critical attributes demanded by this role. Job Requirements

  • 5 years' experience as a line cook at a hotel or resort or restaurant
  • Ability to work all stations on the line
  • Food handling certification required
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • May be required to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Enjoys working as and being part of a team providing great guest experiences

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
  • Directs, trains, and monitors performance of Line Cooks
  • Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Prepare and assign production and prep work for Line Cooks to complete
  • Review priorities
  • Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift
  • Set up work station with required mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies
  • Breakdown work stations and complete closing duties at the end of last shift of the day
  • Inform the Sous Chef of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks
