Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Food Protection Manager's Certification from an accredited ANSI-CFP program mandatory within 90 days of hire
- One year’s experience in quantity food preparation setting
- Full understanding of therapeutic diets preferred
- Able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Good and regular attendance
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to operate food service equipment safely
- Understanding of infection control and safety techniques
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma

- One year's experience in quantity food preparation settings
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and texture/liquid modification
- Basic computer skills and ability to use menu management systems
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead when assigned
- Knowledge of federal, state, and city food safety regulations
Job Duties
- Prepare food following department standardized recipes, planned menus, and policies
- Serve and portion food per department standardized recipes and patient diet orders
- Use production sheets to direct food preparation and quantity
- Label and store food properly according to policies
- Take and record refrigerator and freezer temperatures twice daily
- Assist in receiving, storing, and verifying food supplies
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment using proper sanitation and infection control techniques
