Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical effort
- Ability to work flexible shifts including days and hours that may vary
- Compliance with company safety policies
- Ability to use cut gloves and oven mitts as required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen environment
Job Qualifications

- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Willingness to participate in safety training and in-service meetings

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, temperature, and presentation
- Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
- Cleans kitchen and stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance issues, attends safety meetings, maintains good working relationships, and performs other assigned duties
