Job Requirements

  • Culinary experience required

  • ability to work a full-time schedule Monday through Thursday
  • basic record keeping and production planning skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature
  • tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • responsible for records from area worked during service periods
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies
  • reports maintenance needs or accidents immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • follows HACCP standards for proper food presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance
  • abides by company safety policies including use of protective gloves and shoes
  • performs other duties as assigned
