Located at the Lockheed Martin MFC site in Grand Prairie, Texas, Eurest is currently seeking to hire a full-time Cook immediately. This role offers a Monday to Thursday schedule with variable hours and pays between $16.00 and $20.00 per hour. The position of Cook at Eurest involves preparing high-quality food that meets federal, state, and corporate standards while adhering to established policies and procedures. Candidates will be instrumental in producing meals that are visually appealing, tasty, and served at the correct temperatures, ensuring customer satisfaction with every dish served. The Cook will be responsible for proper food portioning, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas, and managing food storage in compliance with safe handling procedures. This role also requires the operation and upkeep of kitchen equipment, participation in production planning, record keeping, and assistance in ordering food supplies. Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature
- tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
- uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- responsible for records from area worked during service periods
- cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- reports maintenance needs or accidents immediately
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- follows HACCP standards for proper food presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance
