Job Requirements
- Must be available to work flexible schedules including nights, holidays, and weekends
- ability to prepare food items using standardized recipes
- knowledge of food safety and quality standards
- ability to coordinate meal production with serving hours
- experience working in a healthcare or assisted living food service environment preferred
- must comply with local, state, and federal food handling regulations
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in fine dining is preferred
- strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, holidays, and weekends
- good communication and teamwork skills
- knowledge of healthcare regulations related to food service
Job Duties
- Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
- determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours
- prepares all special dietary need as directed by the menus
- monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld at all times
- ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes
- assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules
- follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling
