Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible schedules including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • ability to prepare food items using standardized recipes
  • knowledge of food safety and quality standards
  • ability to coordinate meal production with serving hours
  • experience working in a healthcare or assisted living food service environment preferred
  • must comply with local, state, and federal food handling regulations
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in fine dining is preferred
  • strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • knowledge of healthcare regulations related to food service

Job Duties

  • Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
  • determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours
  • prepares all special dietary need as directed by the menus
  • monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld at all times
  • ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes
  • assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules
  • follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling
