Job Description

Eurest is a globally recognized leader within the foodservice industry, renowned for its commitment to high standards of service and excellence. With a presence that embraces both a global reach and a local impact, Eurest leverages extensive resources to enrich the communities it serves. The company is dedicated to fostering an ownership mindset among its employees, which is reflected in their core philosophy known as The Eurest Promise: to connect with people, inspire through food, create solutions, and live their promise consistently. Serving many of the world’s most respected corporations, including Fortune 500 companies, Eurest stands as a reputable and trusted partner in foodservice management.

Currently, Eurest is hiring full-time Cook positions at their RTZ McKinney location, situated at 2501 West University, McKinney, TX 75071. This role offers a competitive pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday. Hours may vary and will be detailed further during the interview process. Interested candidates can easily apply online. This opportunity comes with the added benefit of an internal employee referral bonus, which encourages team engagement and attracts skilled professionals.

The Cook role at Eurest is pivotal in ensuring that all food preparation meets federal, state, and corporate standards, maintaining an exceptional quality of food service at all times. The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items based on standardized recipes and specific instructions. This includes meeting production goals, adhering to delivery and service schedules, and ensuring food is served attractively, at the correct temperature, and in correct portions. Moreover, the Cook must taste all prepared foods to guarantee quality and use established procedures during meal services.

In addition to food preparation, this role encompasses a breadth of responsibilities such as cleaning the kitchen after food preparation and service, maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards, organizing refrigerators and storerooms, and ensuring the proper storage of food and supplies. Operation and upkeep of kitchen equipment, assistance in production planning and record keeping, and involvement in ordering food and supplies fall under the Cook’s duties as well. Reporting maintenance needs or faulty equipment promptly and attending safety meetings are critical to maintaining a safe working environment.

Eurest places a strong emphasis on employee safety and adherence to company policies. For instance, the use of medium-weight cut gloves when handling knives and similar tools, oven mitts or fryer gloves for hot items, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques are all mandatory. This focus on safety reflects the company’s commitment not only to its customers but also to the well-being of its employees.

Eurest offers a wide array of fantastic benefits for its associates, including both full-time and part-time team members. These benefits include retirement plans, associate shopping programs, health and wellness initiatives, discount marketplaces, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and a range of voluntary benefits such as critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, legal services, and choice auto and home programs. Full-time associates additionally gain access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, disability insurance, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending accounts. Paid and unpaid time off benefits are also available in accordance with applicable laws.

Overall, the Cook position at Eurest offers an exciting and rewarding career opportunity within a distinguished organization that values diversity, inclusion, and employee development.
