This full-time Cook position is located at the University of Alabama Athletics facility in Tuscaloosa, AL. Applicants must have open availability as hours and days may vary. Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring food is at correct temperature and attractive
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies as required
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers
  • Performs job safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • Adheres to company safety policies, including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
