Job Requirements

  • one year of previous cooking experience
  • full-time availability
  • ability to comply with federal, state and corporate food preparation guidelines
  • capacity to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • ability to use protective equipment such as cut gloves and oven mitts
  • willingness to attend safety and in-service meetings
  • ability to report equipment and maintenance issues promptly
  • willingness to work days and hours as scheduled
  • legal eligibility to work in the united states

Job Duties

  • prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and temperature standards
  • taste all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • use ticket collection procedures during service
  • clean kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • store or discard excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • report maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
  • attend in-service and safety meetings
  • maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • perform job safely maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • abide by company safety policies including the use of protective gloves and proper lifting techniques
