Job Qualifications

  • Prior cooking experience preferably in fine-dining
  • Experience in hotel or resort foodservice settings
  • Ability to prepare food per standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature and visually appealing
  • Taste all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
  • Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures according to HACCP standards
