The position involves a rotating schedule with varied days and hours, ensuring flexibility and coverage as needed to maintain seamless food service operations in a hospital setting.

Job Requirements
- Prior food handlers certification is required
- Ability to work full-time with a rotating schedule
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Compliance with company safety policies including proper glove use and kitchen safety
- Ability to handle physical demands of the position such as standing for long periods and manual lifting
- Must be 18 years or older

- Prior experience in food preparation or as a cook

Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning while ensuring food safety and attractiveness
- Taste all prepared food items to maintain quality
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service
- Clean kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining cleanliness standards
- Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Perform job duties safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperature following HACCP standards
- Follow company policies for safety, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and lifting techniques
