Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature and visually appealing
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain accurate records
- Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensure food and supplies are stored properly
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents promptly
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Follow HACCP standards for proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
- Commit to personal safety and safety of others
- Comply with company policies on use of gloves, mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and lifting techniques
- Perform other duties as assigned
