Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Previous line cooking experience preferred
  • Availability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Ability to comply with company safety and hygiene policies
  • Willingness to attend training and safety meetings
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to follow federal, state and corporate food preparation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of previous line cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic math skills for portion control
  • Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
  • Ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Follows HACCP standards
  • Uses proper safety equipment such as cut gloves and oven mitts
