We are currently hiring for a full-time Cook position located at Honeywell Glendale, 19019 North 59th Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85308. This role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, delivering consistency and work-life balance. The pay range for this position is competitive, between $18.00 and $22.00 per hour, with more details available during the interview process. Applications are accepted exclusively online.

The Cook position is integral to ensuring that all food served meets the highest standards for quality, safety, and presentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing food in strict accordance with federal, state, and corporate guidelines, embracing a commitment to food safety and sanitation. This role requires a minimum of one year of previous line cooking experience, demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques, adherence to recipes, and the ability to work efficiently within a team-oriented kitchen environment.

In this role, the cook will prepare high-quality meals based on standardized recipes and production schedules, ensuring each dish meets temperature, portion, and quality specifications. They will also manage kitchen cleanliness and organization, operate kitchen equipment responsibly, and assist with inventory management, production planning, and record keeping. The position demands a proactive approach to safety, including the correct use of gloves and protective equipment, compliance with hazard control procedures such as HACCP, and a personal commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Previous line cooking experience preferred
  • Availability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
  • Ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Follows HACCP standards
  • Uses proper safety equipment such as cut gloves and oven mitts
