Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of previous kitchen experience or high volume food production experience preferred
  • Valid Food Handler’s card preferred
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to follow established recipes and food handling guidelines
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of previous kitchen experience or high volume food production experience

  • Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Experience operating and maintaining kitchen equipment
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and procedures

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature and visually appealing
  • Taste prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Store or discard excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Report maintenance needs or faulty equipment to supervisor immediately
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and management
  • Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures abiding by HACCP standards
  • Follow company safety policies including use of cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
  • Perform other duties as assigned
