Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday with variable hours
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and use protective gear
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
  • Must be able to maintain cleanliness and safe food handling
  • Must be legally authorized to work
  • Able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of previous cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to prepare food according to recipes and quality standards
  • Experience operating kitchen equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to food safety standards such as HACCP
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and hygiene

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food quality
  • Taste all prepared food items to ensure flavor and presentation
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping and ordering of food and supplies
  • Report equipment faults or maintenance needs to supervisor immediately
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings and maintain safe work environment
  • Follow HACCP standards and company safety policies including the use of protective gloves and footwear
